Among The Faceless Men
An eye for an eye, and so this tale begins. Eyes never closing. Eyes never sleeping. Eyes fixed with purpose, and brimming with intent. Ever scanning the relevancy and cadence of time’s looping theme. Patterns that echo again and again. These eyes are set to observe. They do not slumber, nor do they turn away. They are watchers dwelling in silence, intent in its stillness, deep and unblinking. Marking well the cycles of the days. Gazing upon the turning of the seasons. While plotting with care; setting their tactics tight. Laying strategies designed not by chance, but by calculated will, to achieve the desired outcome. These strategies are etched by the unseen Hand guiding their doctrine. The school of thought stitched into the very seams of their fleeting existence. Whether it be by the pure Hand of YHWH, or His unnatural adversary; their role is to act in accordance with the lines drawn by The Law, at the will of the one guiding them.
These watchers, they are faceless men. Two orders among them. Moving unseen, as shadows in a crowd. Neither seeking fame nor fortune; followers nor applause. But marked by their purpose, only accountable to the one they serve. Their vigil is divided, even as the day is parted. In four watches they pray and prey: At first watch, second, third, and fourth – holding down the lines at which they stand. Anchored by Truth and Light on one side: Charged by dark secrets and whispered codes on the other. Two orders, driven by their faith that burns with a passion. No names, no faces, just assignment and conviction. In each order, they walk. Waging a war not seen with mortal eyes. A war that never sleeps; raging silently behind the veil. Most flesh and blood, unaware.
Like the time a certain Man among the faceless returned. One born of the ancient order of Truth. Seeking not renown, and neither was it given to Him. Called back from death, not by His will, but by Purpose of The Hand guiding His path. And though the eyes of mortal men had once known Him, they only saw a stranger. It was not until he uttered the words of the prophecy, every word with the weight of time and the ages, did their hearts kindle with the fire of The Light. And the path to Emmaus reveals that even though their souls burned with remembrance in that moment, His face remained veiled in mystery; as if the world itself chose to forget Him.
Let us not forget as mortals often do. For the unseen among us are always present. Each stand in their lot, girded with their version of truth, clad in their armor of faith. They are steadfast upon the wall, neither turning to the left nor to the right. Eyes unnoticed, presence veiled. Writing truths and lies in shadows across the wall, for the whole world to see. Their ideals trending through breath and dust. Shaping, stirring, sowing! And in the end they endure to conquer.
Yours is to discern which will you will follow. To choose this day who you will serve. Who will you follow? Whose name will you say? For while the eyes of these watchers are ever upon you, and their hands shape the world in silence, their faces remain hidden in the shadows. Hidden from the unlearned. And the truth of their purpose is veiled from the carless of heart. Unless you know Wisdom. And Discernment opens what sight would hide. For without Wisdom and Discernment, you will not recognize the magnitude of such forces. Nor will you know the truth masked behind faces you will never see.
Because in the end, only one side walks out of the burning flames. The order where water and fire meet Light. He that has an ear let him truly hear. And though they are faceless, they are not forgotten. You won’t see their names written on the scrolls of the men of this world, but Heaven knows. Heaven remembers. For their cause is made manifest unto the courts of Heaven. And is written in fire upon the firmament of the earth. At the sound of their voices, the sun stands still. Creation leans in, as history listens. And they will endure until the end. For YHWH Is Their Banner, and YESHUA, The Horn of their Salvation. In His Name, shall they Prevail.
